Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the country! We are looking for 1st – 8th grade boys and girls to join the Spartan Youth LAX program for the spring 2013 season. This is our 5th season of participation in the Gwinnett Lacrosse League (GLL). Last year we had over 115 GAC students playing youth lacrosse. Last day to register for the 2013 season is this Sunday, Jan. 6th, 5:00pm.
Here are the specifics:
Classifications
Bantam 1st & 2nd grade
Lightning 3rd & 4th grade
Junior 5th & 6th grade
Senior 7th & 8th grade
Schedule
The season will start with practices the week of January 22, 2013. All games will be played on Saturdays starting Feb 2nd and ending with the Championship on May 11th. Schools participating in the GLL are Archer, Buford, Brookwood, Collins Hill, Dacula, Duluth, Grayson, GAC, Mill Creek, N. Gwinnett, Parkview, Peachtree Ridge and Wesleyan.
Practices
Practice will be held twice a week at Cemetery Field (Norcross) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. This is a turf field that we utilized last year. The turf will help eliminate rain out of practices that we have experienced in the past seasons. Practice schedules will be determined once registration is complete.
Volunteers
Coaches and team mom's/managers are needed for both boy and girl teams. No experience necessary as we will provide training. Please indicate in your registration form if you are interested in helping out in these areas. Parent participation is key to ensure a successful season and we will be enlisting your help.
Registration Fees
Girls grades 1st-6th: $225.00 includes new uniform, knee socks, spirit wear shirt, field use, clinics, and GLL fees.
Girls grades 7th and 8th: $275 includes all above and paid coaches. Coach to be determined.
Boys grades 1st-6th: $225.00 includes new uniform, shooter shirts, field use, clinics and GLL fees.
Boys grades 7th and 8th: $275 includes all above and paid coaches. Coach will be Tom Higgins, Head Coach Oglethorpe University and some of his collegiate players.

2. Once completed, you will be billed through your student account.
3. You must have a valid GAC physical form (valid through June 1, 2013) on file. If not, turn in new physical forms to either Elementary front desk or Junior High front desk by January 14, 2013.
