Over the 40+ years of Spartan Baseball our teams have experienced great success on the field. As a part of The Remarkable Steps Ahead Strategic Plan of 2009, our oldest facility on campus was targeted for a major upgrade. It was time to bring the level of our playing facility to the level of our program and the quality of our players and families. Through gifts to the Beginnings Campaign, Dr. Fincher and the GACS Board of Trustees have agreed to move forward with the completion of phase three, the final phase of the Baseball Stadium, in time for the 2012 season.
There’s great excitement around our baseball program this season. The physical changes of the stadium are a part of that excitement but even more exciting will be the quality of the young men and our coaches that will be on the field representing GACS in what will be a special season for GACS baseball. Click here to see an updated picture of the transformed baseball stadium along with a brochure with all the details of the “Heading for Home” Campaign. WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!! If you are interested in naming a seat or seats please contact Chandler Means, 770-243-2207 or complete and return the form located on the brochure. Your charitable gift to the seat campaign will support will help support all the projects included in the Beginnings Campaign. Let’s Play Ball!
Notice a few changes on campus? Have you seen the signs of projects underway? “Beginnings” is a $4 million short-term focused campaign that includes program advances and some facility upgrades that also advance programs.

Each of these projects was identified as parts of the Remarkable Steps Ahead 2009 strategic plan for the coming decade. That plan was nearly a year in the making with broad-based involvement from all parts of the GACS community. When completed, the GAC Board and community had developed both their vision and the “steps” involved for the decade to come. Other portions of Remarkable Steps Ahead will have to wait for another day, for 2011 and 2012 it’s time for the “Beginnings”.
Join us in a 2-year pledge to make this a reality. Pledge Now and complete pledge payments by 12/31/2012. Or, for more information contact Katherine White 770.243.2206 or Chandler Means 770.243.2207.
