The Media Center staff at Greater Atlanta Christian School seeks to inspire students and faculty to become life long learners. We believe the media center should be a hub of positive activity that fosters curiosity and enthusiasm for all its patrons. A warm and inviting space, our ultimate goal is to promote a love of reading!
We are committed to helping students use information, ideas, and technology in an ethical manner. The Media Center offers information and tools in a variety of formats to aid multiple learner types. We hope to teach students to be independent learners who have the skills to locate and evaluate information for school assignments as well as recreational interests.

Students who have over dues or fines will not be allowed to check out books until their account is cleared.
Kindergarten students are allowed to check out one book at a time. Students in first and second grades are allowed two books out at a time. Third-Fifth grade students are allowed to have additional books out for assigned projects and extended holidays. Parents are allowed to check out books. We do ask that books be returned on time.
Fines are charged at the rate of .10 per day that the book is kept past the due date.
Books are renewed for a two week period. Books must be brought to the library to be renewed. Books may only be renewed once.
Grades 2-5 attend media literacy class an average of once a week. Classes are taught by the Media Center and Instructional Specialists. Class takes place in the media center project room where each student has access to necessary technology tools. Media literacy classes focus on providing students technical knowledge of media tools as well as insight on how these tools are used to obtain, interpret, construct and present information. The class is often integrated with grade level curriculum topics to supplement class room instruction.
