Lady Spartans Lacrosse is an up-and-coming sport on the GACS campus and reflects a quickly-expanding interest in the sport of lacrosse nationwide. Many publications and organizations have labeled lacrosse as the fastest growing sport in the country and the Lady Spartans players are equally as excited to help develop the sport here on campus.
While developing the program, the coaches, players, and parents of the team have never lost sight of the primary goal of developing quality athletes and individuals and training them up in wisdom and stature with God and man. Victories on the field of play are always a goal, but those goals pale in comparison with the eternal goals of our program in developing strong Christian young ladies who will represent Christ, their school, and themselves on and off the field.
Lady Spartans Lacrosse began as a Junior Varsity only program in the 2005-2006 school year and played two seasons at that level. The 2007-2008 school year was the first year as a Varsity program. The team went 4-12 overall and 0-5 in Area 4 in its initial Varsity season. In our second year, the Varsity nearly posted its first winning season as they went 8-9-1. The 2009-2010 season saw the Varsity post its best record ever at 12-6 and barely missed the playoffs.
The program is currently looking for more players to join for the 2013-2014 season. We are especially looking for rising 9th graders to join the program.
