Invest in our school community and invest in a child who deserves a better future – by simply contributing to GOAL in exchange for a Georgia income tax credit!

The state of Georgia has empowered you to decide how to spend some of your state income tax dollars, but time is running out to do so in 2013. Credits are expected to be gone by MAY.

As of April 19th the Georgia Department of Revenue had approved $37,750,745.82 in education expense tax credits. Including taxpayer requests for approval that are in the “processing pipeline,” GOAL expects that the actual amount of the cap which has been consumed is approximately $49 million.

The tax credits are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Private school communities all over the state are racing to claim their share of the available credits. Please take action today to begin the process by following this link: https://www.goalscholarship.org/for_donors/page/onlinesignature

NEW for 2013!

S-corps, LLCs and Partnership entities can now contribute up to $10,000 to GOAL and designate GAC as the recipient. Click here for required forms. Contact Katherine White  or Heni Jordan in the Development Office for more information.

Recent news articles in the New York Times and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution have highlighted how some private schools in Georgia are abusing the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program.
Please be assured that GACS is an ethical participant in the Tax Credit Program. At GACS, the tax credits are used solely to make additional scholarship funds available to our student applicants with demonstrated financial need. It is our policy that no specific student can be sponsored by your Georgia GOAL contribution. More information is available from the

Office of Admission and Financial Aid.

What is Georgia GOAL?

In 2008 Georgia Assembly passed into law House Bill 1133 which allows individuals and corporations to choose to redirect a portion of their Georgia state income tax dollars for need based financial aid. GACS has partnered with Georgia GOAL, a state approved Student Scholarship Organization, as required by law to administer this tax credit program.

These are tax dollars that you are already paying to the state. This tax credit allows you to take up to $2,500 of your Georgia State Income Tax, and gives you income tax credit (as opposed to a deduction) against your Georgia State Income Tax Liability. This program also allows corporation to take a tax credit of up to 75% of their Annual Georgia Income Tax Liability.

Who does it benefit?

A.   GACS - We are able to increase our student body while practicing Christian values by maintaining our long-standing Financial Aid Program.
 B.   Tax Payer – Individual or Corporate – These professional organizations are able to redirect GA State Tax Credit dollars towards to GACS as part of their philanthropic efforts hence strengthening their Public Relations and Marketing agendas.
 C.   A Financial Aid Applicant – in the 2012-13 school year we have 40 students on campus who are able to experience a quality Christian education because of GOAL.  Some of these students are new to GACS and some of them have been with us for years, but currently need to buy some time to “get back on track”.
 D.   Our Current Students – GACS long decided that our Financial Aid program will always be a part of our Operating Budget and Modus Operandi. So, the more dollars we can generate to Financial Aid from Georgia GOAL, the more money we can keep in our Operating Budget that we can spend on our current students, programs, and facilities.

What difference do I make by participating?

GACS was able to award 40 students Financial Aid that was possible through Georgia GOAL.
Of these students:

-   31 returning and 9 are new applicants
-   4 students will graduate this year and will pursue degrees at top 100 colleges
-   16 Village and Elementary students, 9 Junior High students, and 15 Senior High students are on campus currently   (Please note, that 6 out of the 15 Senior High students successfully progressed from Junior High)
-   Some of these students lost their parents in recent years, or children of new faculty members, or a sibling of a full tuition paying student
-   4 students who started at GAC by receiving GOAL award are now paying  full tuition
-   Female 53%, Male 47%
