Step 1: Register and create a profile for each of your students in Ravenna. Search for Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) to sign up for admissions events, including Open Houses.

Step 2: Complete the GAC application form in Ravenna which includes a $90 non-refundable application fee. One application per child.

Step 3: GAC requires 3 years of the applicant’s records. Records should include grades, a current discipline report, and standardized testing. 

Step 4: Request teacher references electronically through Ravenna. GAC requires references from a math teacher, English teacher, and a principal or counselor.

Step 5: Submit entrance testing scores. GAC accepts the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) or the following college board exams; SAT, Mock SAT, PSAT.

Step 6: Schedule a Student Visit Day on Ravenna. Student Visit Days are required for rising 9th graders and strongly recommended for 10th-12th grades. Only applicants can schedule Student Visit Days.

Step 7: Schedule a family interview through Ravenna (10th-12th grades). Interviews include an administrator, the applicant, and at least one parent. Application status must be complete to schedule a family interview.

Completed applications will be reviewed by the High School Admissions Committee.

Step 5: Schedule SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) testing via www.ssat.org. SSAT is required for students applying to 6th-8th. GAC is a host location for the six standard test dates. Space is limited.

Step 6: Schedule a Student Visit Day (required). Only applicants can schedule student visit days.

Completed applications will be reviewed by the Middle School Admissions Committee. If additional information is needed, an interview may be scheduled.

Step 3: GAC requires 3 years of records (or all available) including grades, discipline, and nationally normed standardized testing. 

Step 4: Request teacher references electronically through Ravenna. GAC requires references from a current academic teacher and another school faculty member such as a previous academic teacher, principal or school counselor.

Step 5: Schedule and attend a Student Visit Day (required). Applicants experience time in the classroom and engage with our school level principals. An assessment will be administered while your child is on campus.

*Kindergarten Visit Days are designed for us to get to know your child, to evaluate school readiness and to introduce your child to what GAC has to offer. During their visit, students have the opportunity to participate in classroom activities as well as work one-on-one with a Kindergarten teacher for their evaluation.

Step 6: Applicants will be scheduled for a family interview once they have completed all application requirements. Interviews include a GAC administrator, the applicant, and at least one parent/guardian. In some cases, an interview may not be required.

Completed applications will be reviewed by the Lower School Admissions Committee.

Step 3: If applicable, request records from current school using the Transcript Request form available in Ravenna. 

Step 4: If applicable, request teacher references electronically through Ravenna. GAC requires references from a current academic teacher if the child is attending preschool.

Step 5: Applicants attend a teacher evaluation accompanied by a classroom observation. Registration is available on Ravenna.

Completed applications will be reviewed by the Lower School Admissions Committee.

Step 1: Submit a Young Learners Inquiry Form on the GAC Website.

Step 2: Sign up for Admissions Events, including Open Houses, or a private tour through the Admissions Office.

Step 3: Register and create a profile in Ravenna for each of your children. Once given a bypass code after placing an inquiry, you may complete the GAC application, which includes a $90 non-refundable application fee. Only one application per child. You must be an applicant to be considered in the wait pool.

Step 4:  If applicable, request teacher references electronically through Ravenna. GAC requires references from a teacher if the child is currently being cared for outside of the home.

Completed applications will be reviewed by the Lower School Admissions Committee. Admission to the Young Learners Program is on a rolling basis. To be placed in the wait pool, you must be an applicant.
