Choral music has been the heartbeat of GAC since the early days of the school. With a tradition of outreach, the choral students not only perform on campus, but also around the country. Middle school choirs take tours around the southeast. Multiple students have been selected to national honor ensembles and Georgia All-State Chorus each year.
The Literary Team singers are consistently awarded at the Region and State levels, and the Concert Choir has been selected multiple times to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. With a newly renovated choral rehearsal space in the Sara D. Williams Fine Arts Center and Artusa Hall in the Performing Arts Center, GAC’s state of the art facilities provide incredible opportunities to grow as a musician.
Celebrating 20 Years of Promises Elementary Chorus
GAC proudly celebrated the 20th anniversary of Promises Elementary Chorus, honoring the group's legacy of serving God and our school. Promises showcased its talent with a dedicated concert, featuring the premiere of "Orabo Spiritu," a choral work for young voices composed by Rick McKee. The chorus also made a special appearance on WATC TV 57 and participated in the Carowinds Music Festival during the spring trip, where they earned an honor performance rating.
