Regan Burnett – Director of the School of Ballet and Registered Yoga Teacher –
“Miss Regan” is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music where she received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (1995) and a Bachelor of Music Education in Choral/General Music Education (1998). After completing her student-teaching practicum at Northwest School of the Performing Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina she relocated to Coppell, Texas. As the music teacher at Denton Creek Elementary for six years she “put on big, Texas-sized musical programs” and was awarded several district performance awards including “Teacher of the Year” (2004) and a Coppell Education Foundation Grant entitled, “Let’s Deal” (2002). In the fall of 2003, she and her students collaborated with a local composer to record a song for Texas Public Schools Week which aired on radio and television for the month of March. At GACS she enjoys managing the affairs of the School of Ballet and working with GAC Spartanettes. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, singing and practicing yoga. Currently, she resides in Decatur with her husband and their beloved dogs, Zoë and Teddy.
