Regan is the Director of the School of Ballet. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music where she received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (1995) and a Bachelor of Music Education in Choral/General Music Education (1998). She began her teaching career at Northwest School of the Performing Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina, and then accepted a position as a music teacher in Coppell, Texas. During her six years at Denton Creek Elementary, Regan “put on big Texas-sized musical programs” and received several awards including “Teacher of the Year” in 2004 and the “Let’s Deal” Coppell Education Foundation Grant in 2002.
In Fall 2006, Regan joined GAC’s fine arts faculty as director of the School of Ballet and as a registered yoga teacher. For the last thirteen years she has produced 26 recitals and tripled the program enrollment by adding Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro, and Theatre Dance classes. She attributes that success to her excellent team of stellar dance teachers. While not a dancer herself, she enjoys managing the affairs of the School of Ballet, directing recitals, and creating meaningful worship experiences our staff, students, and audiences.
Regan lives in Decatur with her husband Russell and their two beloved West Highland White Terriers, Zöe and Teddy. She is an avid supporter of the arts and enjoys attending cultural arts events of all kinds. She also volunteers at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Winship Cancer Institute through their Arts in Health program and Happy Tails Pet Therapy with Teddy.
