List of 5 frequently asked questions.

  • Who comes to this event?

This is a special day for Grandparents of current students. Grandparents begin the day with an opening breakfast, then are welcomed to join their grandchildren later in the morning.

During the Grandparents Day: Generations Program...
    • Lower School students will sit with their class and should be picked up by grandparents in their classrooms after the program.
    • Middle and High School students meet their grandparents after the grandparents' breakfast and sit together during the program in the Long Forum.
  • RSVP?

Your RSVP serves as a release form, giving teachers permission to allow students to accompany their grandparents on campus. It also helps us know how many to expect for breakfast so we have sufficient seating. Please complete your RSVP by October 22.

*Note to GAC parents submitting this information:
Please provide the grandparents' emails for registration. We will be sending important details to them as the event nears.
  • What are my transportation and parking options?

GAC's campus is located 1/2 mile off I-85 at exit 101. We have 900 parking spots on campus to accommodate you.
Ample parking is located near the Spartan Stadium. To access, turn from Indian Trail onto Georgia Belle Court/Church Lane.

Handicapped parking is located in the Long Forum parking lot, but it does fill up quickly. You may use the front of the Long Forum or the front of Campus Church to drop off a guest before proceeding to the parking areas.

Most parking is located on the outer circle of the campus; shuttles will be provided for guests throughout the morning.

Find more details in this map of the campus.
  • Why are just grandparents invited?

We have found that there is something very special when we set aside a day specifically for students and grandparents to celebrate their relationship.

However, we also want to assure you that GAC has many other things for students to do during the day if a grandparent is unable to attend. Parent involvement on campus is an important part of the GAC community and are invited to attend and volunteer for other events.
