Grandparents' Day

This is a special day for Grandparents of Infant-12th grade students currently attending Greater Atlanta Christian School. Grandparents enjoy a complimentary breakfast and then join their students later.

Grandparents' Day is a special day for Grandparents of Infant-12th grade students currently attending Greater Atlanta Christian School. Grandparents are treated to breakfast, a special student performance and precious time with your grandchild(ren) on our campus.

We are more interested in having you join us than what you wear. But, because we are asked this question so often, then our best advice is to dress according to the weather, and in shoes that you can comfortably walk between buildings. Many men wear jackets and women wear nice pants suits or dresses. You’ll definitely want to be “picture ready” with your grandchild(ren).

• 8:00 a.m. Complimentary Breakfast in the Middle/High School Dining Hall (adjacent to the Long Forum)

• 9:30 a.m. Grandparents’ Day Program in the Long Forum

• 10:30 a.m. Visit the classrooms, tour the 90 acres of our walkable campus with your grandchild(ren), & have a complimentary photo taken together in the Fincher Student-Family Center.

• 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. Join some of our amazing Performing Arts groups on Center Stage, near the Cross Tower. You will see “vignettes” from our Choir, Drama, Band and Dance students. Don’t miss an opportunity to share a dance with your grandchild(ren)!

• 12:00 p.m. School is dismissed! (Grandparents - be sure that you have “signed out” your grandchild before leaving campus. Infant-5th grade students are signed out in the classroom, MS and HS students are signed out in the school level office.)

Village and Elementary students are picked up by the grandparents in their classrooms after the Grandparents’ Day
program. Middle and High school students will meet their grandparents after breakfast and sit with them during
the program in the Long Forum. GAC Young Learners do not attend the program. Grandparents are welcome to
attend the program and can pick up their grandchild(ren) afterward.

Note: Village and Elementary Students sit with their teachers/classes during the program since they will be singing
together.

You may RSVP at the top of this webpage. The RSVP allows GAC to know how many to expect for breakfast/seating and to serve as a "release form" for teachers to allow a student to accompany their grandparent, so please let us know if you are able to join us.

The Campus of Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) is easily located 1/2 mile off I-85 (east), exit 101. The
breakfast is in the Middle/High School Dining Hall and the program is in the adjacent Long Forum. There are over
900 parking spots on campus to accommodate you.

You'll find plenty of parking near the Spartan Stadium (turn from Indian Trail on to GA Belle Court/Church Drive.)
Most parking is on the outer circle of the campus. Handicapped parking is in the Long Forum's parking lot, but it
does fill up quickly. You may use the front of the Long Forum or the front of Campus Church to "drop off" a guest
and then park elsewhere on campus. While on campus, grandparents can utilize our shuttles from areas near the school lobbies to parking lots.

We have found that there is something very special when we set aside a day specifically for students and
grandparents to celebrate their relationship. However, we also want to assure you that GAC has many other things
for students to do during the day if their grandparent is not able to attend. We also have many opportunities for
