Raising Healthy, Joyful Achievers in a Hyper-Competitive World
When: Wednesday, March 13, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., lunch provided
Where: Performing Arts Center, Artusa Hall
We are excited to hear from award-winning author and journalist Jennifer Wallace. Jennifer is the author of Never Enough: When Achievement Pressure Becomes Toxic – And What We Can Do About It (available for purchase in the Spartan Store.)
Through research and interviews with leading child psychologists, educators, and a survey of nearly 6,000 parents, Jennifer shares the importance of children knowing that their intrinsic self-worth is not contingent upon external achievements. She also emphasizes that children who receive consistent feedback that they matter, no matter what, are more likely to have the resilience, self-confidence, and psychological security to thrive.
Jennifer has been featured on national television programs such as Good Morning America and CBS Mornings, discussing the importance of the parent-child relationship and parents' role in overcoming a toxic achievement culture.
Encourage other GAC parents to attend next Wednesday's event with you and RSVP at the link below so we can ensure an accurate lunch count.
Thank you for partnering with us. See you on campus soon!
