How Do you Help a Student Develop a Heart for Service?
For decades, the GAC Missions Program has been a key part of our school culture. Long before global mission trips became common among schools, GAC students and teachers were stepping beyond our campus to serve communities around the world.
Over the years, we have seen God move in powerful ways—not only in the places we go, but in the hearts and lives of those who serve. Each year, GAC mission trips give students meaningful opportunities to share their gifts, experience other cultures, build relationships, and put their faith into action.
These experiences help shape students as the hands and feet of Christ, cultivating compassion, confidence, and a heart for serving others wherever God leads. Each year, GAC sends 15-20 mission teams on trips around the world.
GAC mission trips have been a blessing for both our kids. They had experiences they may never have again. I saw a video of my son giving a testimonial while on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic earlier this year. It nearly brought me to tears to hear him tell local kids about how he relies on God and what He has meant to my son.

The faculty and staff at GAC live out the school’s mission every day, supporting our children on their lifelong journey to discover the wonder and majesty of God’s creation and their place in it. GAC challenges its students to grow and mature; academically, physically, and spiritually; producing graduates who are ready to go and change the world. Our only regret about bringing our children to GAC is that we didn’t do it sooner.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
