Chapel and Student Ministry

At GAC, chapel is one of the most visible expressions of our Christian community.

Held multiple times each week at every school level, chapel provides students with regular opportunities to worship, learn from Scripture, hear meaningful messages, and connect their faith to everyday life.

Each school's chapel experience is designed to be age-appropriate while remaining rooted in the same mission: helping students know Christ and live out their faith.

Student Ministry Program

The Student Ministry Program equips students to help plan, prepare, and lead chapel experiences while growing in their faith and leadership. Available in upper elementary, middle school, and high school, students develop biblical understanding, ministry skills, and confidence as they serve their peers and contribute to Christian Life at GAC.

Worship Band

Worship Band provides students with opportunities to use their musical gifts to lead others in worship and contribute to chapel experiences throughout the year. While students can participate in worship leadership at all school levels, high school students may apply for Worship Practicum, a course that develops musicianship, leadership, and collaboration through hands-on worship leadership.

Student Ministry has not only enriched my school days, but illuminated the rest of my life and encouraged me to prioritize my faith in all areas. It has provided me with an invaluable opportunity to fellowship and grow with my peers, renewed my love for music, and allowed me to truly internalize what God speaks into my life.

Small Group Chapels

Student-led small groups create space for meaningful, Bible-centered conversations during chapel. Guided by discussion questions prepared by Student Ministry leaders, students explore Scripture, reflect on their faith, and learn from one another in a more personal setting.

All-School Chapels

Several times each year, students from every grade level gather as one community for special all-school chapel experiences, with parents and families invited to join. From the First Day of School and Grandparents' Day to Thanksgiving and Easter celebrations, these gatherings provide meaningful opportunities to worship together and celebrate God's faithfulness as a school family.

Themed Chapels

Throughout the year, themed chapels highlight important events, seasons, and members of our community through a biblical lens. From Missions and Service Chapel to celebrations of Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, AAPI Heritage Month, and other meaningful observances, these gatherings help students celebrate the diverse ways God is at work in the world.

Cohesive Yearly Theme

Chapel gatherings throughout the year support GAC's annual Christian Life theme and guiding Scripture verse, helping students engage more deeply with the spiritual focus of the school year. Past themes have encouraged students to explore biblical truths such as God's faithfulness, identity in Christ, purpose, belonging, and what it means to be fully known and loved by God.

Raising up the next generation of Christian leaders.

The goal of chapel is not simply to attend a gathering but to help students apply biblical truth in their everyday lives.

Many students point to a chapel message, worship experience, or student testimony as a moment that challenged their thinking, strengthened their faith, encouraged them through a difficult season, or inspired them to take a next step in their relationship with Christ.

Through chapel, Student Ministry, and Worship Band, GAC creates opportunities for students to engage with biblical truth, grow in Christian community, and develop a faith that impacts every area of life.
