Amelia Granberg is the Director of Operations of the global, online women's ministry, Well-Watered Women. Though her degree is in political science and philosophy and her desire following the birth of her first child was to stay home, the Lord redirected her career path through a story only he could weave together.
When Amelia reflects on her time at GAC, she says, “I can clearly see how God used my learning experience on campus to help me realize my gifts and talents, equipping me to step fully into the myriad of roles in my future. The Christ-centered community at GAC instilled values that would carry me through many ups and downs, encouraging me to reflect Jesus at all times and in all areas of life—the church, the home, the workplace, and in community.”
In 2015, following the unexpected late-term stillbirth of her son, Ford, Amelia reconnected with a childhood friend who had recently partnered with a mutual friend to create and sell Bible study resources through an online storefront. The response to the self-published quiet-time journals and Bible studies was overwhelming, and the business had already outgrown the founder’s apartment and moved into the co-owner’s basement.
At the same time, Amelia was wrestling with grief and growing in her faith, asking the Lord with open hands “what’s next?” Over the next six years, her commitment would increase as the ministry and its needs grew. From a team of 3 to today’s 18, through multiple warehouse moves, numerous self-published Bible study materials, as well as traditionally published books, the Lord has expanded the reach of Well-Watered Women and Amelia has continued to serve the ministry in a variety of ways…”

At the same time, Amelia was wrestling with grief and growing in her faith, asking the Lord with open hands “what’s next?” With her 18-month oldest daughter in-tow, she began working a few hours a week shipping orders, managing inventory, and assisting online customers from her friend’s basement. Over the next six years, her commitment would increase as the ministry and its needs grew .
From a team of 3 to today’s 18, through multiple warehouse moves, numerous self-published Bible study materials, as well as traditionally published books, the Lord has expanded the reach of Well-Watered Women and Amelia has continued to serve the ministry in a variety of ways. Today she oversees product creation, relationships with domestic and international vendors, and a myriad of other small-business related challenges. It’s a role she never could have dreamt up but that she carries with immense joy and gratitude, for both the flexibility it allows her as a mom and the mission it allows her to be a part of—reaching women worldwide with the life-changing hope of the gospel.
Amelia lives in Lawrenceville with her husband, Garrett (GAC teacher and coach) and their three daughters, Mary Mason (7), Caroline (5), and Nealie (3). They enjoy spending time outdoors together, going on bike rides, cheering on the Spartans during football season, and taking walks with their newest family member, a goldendoodle named Nash.
