Zeh S. Ekono ‘03 is a devoted mother of two children and a driven leader in the field of law. She attended GAC from 1st grade to 12th grade and graduated in 2003. Her siblings also graduated from GAC, Mercedes ’07 and Charles ’11. In High School, Zeh was involved in debate team, math team, and the National Honor Society. Outside of school, she was heavily involved in the Red Cross Youth Council.
Many GAC teachers impacted Zeh’s life, including Dr. Dwight Love and Mr. Jimmy Jones. She took multiple honors math classes taught by the late Dr. Love, and he was also her math team coach. Zeh regards him as an inspiring person who was brilliant and persevered despite a difficult cancer battle.
She took AP English with Mr. Jimmy Jones. In her admiration, Zeh recalls, “Mr. Jones challenged students to think analytically and creatively. He pushed students to find their own point of view and articulate it whether in class discussion or writing”. Other memorable GAC experiences for her include traveling on various class trips to New York, Savannah, Rock Eagle and mission trips to Mexico and Austria.

Of all Zeh’s many accomplishments and responsibilities, her children--Alexandre , (7) and Nicolas (4 months)-- bring her the most fulfillment and purpose. She loves to spend her free time with them and to see them happy and thriving. With Alexandre her third grader (who is bilingual in French-English), she enjoys cooking with him and participating in various weekend activities such as piano, soccer, tennis, and Taekwondo classes. When she isn’t working or enjoying time with family and friends, she likes to travel internationally.
Since she was a young Spartan at GAC, Zeh has been an inspiration to others by her ambition, leadership, and faith. Regarding the role that faith plays in her life, Zeh says “Faith is an important framework that guides my life, including personal and professional decisions. It is my source of strength and comfort in good and bad times, which keeps me grounded and humble.”
