Wednesday, December 20th marks the beginning of the Early Signing Period for high school football players across the country. During a celebration in the Long Forum, the GAC Football program recognized three of their athletes that will continue their football careers at the collegiate level.
Seniors Braylon Burgess, Myles Cunningham, and Jack Stanton all signed their national letters of intent to play at their respective colleges. All three players were starters for GAC this season and helped lead the Spartans to a 9-2 record and a playoff berth.
Both Braylon Burgess and Myles Cunningham signed with Bucknell University. Burgess will play as a receiver for the Bison and Cunningham will play as a defensive back.
Jack Stanton was the starting quarterback for the Spartans over the past two seasons. Stanton set a school record for passing yards in a game with 392 yards through the the air against The Lovett School this season. He will continue his collegiate career at Houston Christian University.
Congratulations to all three athletes on wonderful careers while at GAC, and for making the first step to continuing their football careers.
