2024 Paris Olympics: Jasmine Jones Earns a Spot on Team USA

Jasmine Jones (GAC Class of 2020) will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games!

Jones clinched her spot on Team USA by finishing in third place (52.77) in the Women’s 400 Meter Hurdles at the Olympic Trials. She will now join fellow USC Trojan Anna Cockrell and new world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone as competitors in the Women’s 400 Meter Hurdles at the Olympic Games.

This season, Jasmine already won the NCAA National Championships in the Indoor 60 Meter Hurdles and the Outdoor 400 Meter Hurdles for the University of Southern California's track and field team.

In high school, Jones was a 12-time Georgia state individual champion at GAC. At the 2019 GHSA 3A State Championships, she swept the 200m dash, 100m hurdles, and long jump, helping lead the Spartans to a team title. On the international stage, Jones also won the 100m hurdles at both the 2019 USATF U20 Championships and the Pan-Am Championships in Costa Rica.

We are looking forward to even more accomplishments for Jasmine Jones at the 2024 Olympic Games this summer!
