Darius Slayton, a GAC alum (Class of 2015) and New York Giants wide receiver, has been named the 2025 Alan Page Community Award winner by the NFL Players Association. As the NFLPA’s highest honor, the award recognizes one player each year who demonstrates a profound dedication to uplifting communities, following in the legacy of Hall of Famer, humanitarian, and civil rights pioneer Alan Page.
The winner is selected by fellow NFL players from a group of five finalists. In recognition of Slayton’s efforts, the NFLPA will donate $100,000 to his Left-Hand Right-Hand (LHRH) Foundation, which serves underserved communities. Slayton has been dedicated to giving back throughout his career, recently earning NFLPA Week 16 Community MVP honors after donating $50,000 to support 24 New York families. Whether it’s providing mentorship, academic support, or basic essentials, he continues to make a difference far beyond the football field.
One of Slayton’s biggest initiatives is his foundation’s annual holiday event, which brings joy to kids in NYPD-led youth football programs. Over the years, he’s donated more than $150,000 to support mentorship and improve police-community relations. His generosity also extends beyond New York—he hosts a free youth football camp at GAC and provides meals, household essentials, and financial assistance to families across multiple states. His impact hasn’t gone unnoticed, earning him awards like the United Way of New York City’s “Hometown Hero” and the NYPD’s Outstanding Community Service Award. Slayton’s commitment to giving back proves he’s not just making plays on Sundays—he’s changing lives year-round.
