GAC High School Theatre students performed “The Misanthrope,” Moliere’s classic comedy about manners, for the community this past weekend. This one-act play is a GAC tradition, and students were pleased to have the opportunity to perform this fall. This play is a satire, and our audiences enjoyed as GAC actors poked fun at the French aristocracy in the 17th century while providing timeless commentary on the human nature of us all. GAC Drama Director Kaitlyn Thames leads students in a program that develops and stretches our dramatic arts students. GAC Theatre has won 18 state championships (Georgia High School Association and Georgia Theatre Conferences), and our student actors have repeatedly won the highly-respected Shuler Hensley Awards for High School Musical Theatre.
