Michelle Wild, Visual Arts teacher at Greater Atlanta Christian School, recently achieved a significant milestone in her artistic journey. Two of her oil paintings were selected for exhibition at the Atlanta campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
"It is such an honor and I am humbled to have work amongst professors and MFA students. What I am most excited about is I get to share my faith through my paintings," shares Wild.
Titled "Light Illuminating Hope," Wild's series of paintings explores the theme of hope found in Christ. Stemming from personal experiences of loss and grief in 2021, the series transitions from themes of death to life, symbolizing a journey of spiritual awakening and renewal.
Her work offers viewers a celestial perspective, inviting them to contemplate themes of hope and redemption. "This bird's eye view gives a celestial view (God’s view) of things we normally see at eye level. A new perspective of hope offers an awakening, a transition of light against dark: death into life," explains Wild.
Several students from Greater Atlanta Christian School visited the exhibition with their families, a gesture that deeply touched Wild's heart.
As her artwork inspires and uplifts others, Michelle Wild remains committed to using her artistic talent to spread messages of hope and faith.
