The postseason brings both excitement and pressure to every sporting event. Each player, coach, and fan knows that the result of a playoff game could end or continue your respective season. Heading into Tuesday, April 23rd, GAC's Varsity Athletic teams were slated to host five playoff games and compete in a sixth matchup on the road.

Varsity Boys Tennis (Sweet Sixteen match), Varsity Baseball (Double-Header, first round series), Varsity Girls Soccer (Sweet Sixteen match on the road), Varsity Girls Lacrosse (First Round game), and Varsity Boys Lacrosse (First Round game) all competed on a "Super Tuesday" for GAC sports. The action began at 3 PM and by 10:30 PM that night, GAC’s Varsity Athletic Teams went 6-0 for the day.

Varsity Boys Tennis defeated Flowery Branch High School 5-0 to advance to the Elite 8.

Varsity Baseball won their first round playoff series (3-2, 6-4) against Dalton High School.

Varsity Girls Soccer won on the road at Midtown High School. The 2-1 victory places GAC into the Elite 8!

Varsity Girls Lacrosse defeated Richmond Hill High School 20-7 to claim their first playoff victory in the history of GAC girls lacrosse.

Varsity Boys Lacrosse won their first round match 17-2 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.

Congratulations to all of our Varsity Athletic teams for their playoff success!
