GAC Grad joins GAC Dad at 11Alive

Danielle Moss, GAC Class of 2011, joined the 11 Alive News Station as a Weekend Meteorologist in August 2024. Before making her homecoming to Metro Atlanta, Moss served as the Chief Meteorologist at TEGNA station WATN-TV (ABC) in Memphis, Tennessee, where she had been in the center of severe weather, being an active participant in the weather forecast during the tornado outbreak in March 2023 and other various thunderstorms and ice storms. Moss grew up in Conley, GA. She graduated from Greater Atlanta Christian School in 2011 and continued her education at Jacksonville State University, where she gained a degree in Mass Communications. With her love for weather dating back to her first career as a flight attendant, Moss then pursued a degree in Meteorology from Mississippi State University and joined WDEF-TV (CBS) in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She joins GAC Dad, Chris Holcomb, at 11Alive - a full-circle moment for both 11Alive team members as they share a love for the Metro-Atlanta private school.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be back in Atlanta,” said Moss. “I have had many successes in my career and many challenges. This is not just a career milestone. It is a dream realized through perseverance and passion. Building trust with the community can make a significant difference during severe weather events. I am thrilled to connect with the 11Alive audience both on and off."
