Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) is celebrating a new era of elementary education with the reveal of the stunningly renovated Jim & Becky Combee Elementary School. The project, a central pillar of the "Light the Way Campaign," has transformed the facility into a dynamic, engaging environment designed to ignite curiosity and foster lifelong learning in GAC's youngest Spartans.

The revitalized school features extensive upgrades designed for modern instruction and learning. Classrooms now boast upgraded learning spaces optimized for collaboration and interactive instruction. Students also benefit from a completely new library designed to foster a love for reading, and an Innovation Lab with a fully functioning kitchen that will allow students to learn in a hands-on way. The renovation also includes enhanced safety and security features to ensure a protected and nurturing environment for all students and staff.

The dedication ceremony was a heartfelt celebration of the GAC community's commitment and, particularly, the unparalleled generosity and decades-long leadership of Jim and Becky Combee. Their faithful support spans more than five decades, with their influence dating back to 1968 when they helped shape the school's vision.

The Combee Family has been faithfully supporting GAC for over 45 years. However, their impact extends far beyond philanthropy. Becky served as president of the Historic Ladies Association for Christian Education (LACE), and Jim has provided steady, visionary guidance as a member of the Board of Trustees for 48 years.

Highlighting the journey of GAC, which is now in its 58th year, Bill Long offered a moving sentiment about the school's foundation: “The story of GAC is truly the story of God, taking a group of ordinary people with not much more than a dream and using them to build a house more wonderful than their dreams.”
