GAC Shines at 2025 Gwinnett County Track and Field Championships

Collins Hill High School hosted the 2025 Gwinnett County Track and Field Championships from March 28-31, where Greater Atlanta Christian (GAC) athletes delivered impressive performances. Both the girls' and boys' teams showcased their speed, strength, and skill in multiple events, earning top finishes and setting the stage for a strong postseason.

Girls' Track and Field Recap

The GAC girls' team secured a 6th place finish overall with 66 points, thanks to standout performances across multiple disciplines.

Individual Events (* signifies a county record):

  • 100 Meter Dash:

    • 🥇 1st Place: Ava Kitchings – 11.57 seconds*

    • 🥈 2nd Place: Skylar Cunningham – 11.61 seconds*

  • 200 Meter Dash:

    • 🥇 1st Place: Skylar Cunningham – 23.60 seconds*

    • 🥉 3rd Place: Ava Kitchings – 24.28 seconds

    • 7th Place: Sydney Sherrod – 25.06 seconds

  • 400 Meter Dash:

    • 🥈 2nd Place: Sydney Sherrod – 56.24 seconds

  • 400 Meter Relay:

    • 🥇 1st Place: GAC team (Skylar Cunningham, Kelsey Bailey, Ava Kitchings, Sydney Sherrod)*

  • Long Jump:

    • 🥇 1st Place: Ava Kitchings – 20 feet 3.5 inches*

  • Shot Put:

    • 7th Place: Ivey Nemorin – 35 feet 4.5 inches
