The Varsity Volleyball team continued its impressive streak of dominance, securing the Area 5-AAA Championship for the fourth consecutive season with a commanding win over Stephenson High School.

The Spartans swept the championship match in straight sets — 25-14, 25-14, 25-23 — displaying the focus, energy, and teamwork that have become hallmarks of the program. The victory adds another banner to an already decorated era for GAC Volleyball and sends the Spartans into the state playoffs with strong momentum.

GAC also earned several Area 5-AAA postseason honors in recognition of the team’s success and individual excellence:

• Amyra Burchik – Co-Player of the Year

• Angel Salcedo – First Team All-Area

• Kendell Powell – First Team All-Area

• Rita Taylor – Second Team All-Area

• Coach Brittain – Co-Coach of the Year

With their fourth straight area title secured, the Spartans now turn their attention to the GHSA Class A-AAA Private School State Playoffs, set to begin next week.
