In May, K3 gathered at Aldi in Peachtree Corners to buy items for the “Pack the Pantry” initiative. After shopping, the group enjoyed dinner at Chick-fil-A. The event was captured in a heartwarming photo featuring Mrs. Burrough’s class loading the donations.
The “Pack the Pantry” effort, spearheaded by Service Prefect Maddie Burrough and Rising Service Prefect Pasha Kuo, aims to support the Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries (NCM). This local organization plays a crucial role in combating food insecurity in the Gwinnett County area, providing essential services such as rent and job assistance, and clothing closets.
With the summer months approaching, NCM anticipates a significant increase in food assistance needs due to the absence of government-funded breakfasts and lunches provided by public schools. While many of us will be enjoying vacations, camps, and family meals, it's important to remember those in our community who face a different reality.
We're grateful for the families that came together to support this worthy cause by contributing to the “Pack the Pantry” initiative at NCM!
