A member of the GAC Athletic Hall of Fame has earned a new accolade.

Earlier this month, Kyle McPhee (GAC Class of 1998) was inducted into the Gwinnett County Cross Country Hall of Fame. McPhee ran both cross country and track & field during his time at GAC. He was greeted at the induction ceremony by his former head coach, Brad Kinser.

Some of his career accolades include:

Sophomore Tear:   

• 4th place  in state Class A cross country

Junior Year:             

• 2nd place in state Class A cross country- 3200 meter state champion

Senior Year:

• Gwinnett county cross country champion, State Class A individual and team Champion, 1600 & 3200 meter state champion

After graduating from GAC, McPhee went on to run for Belmont University. He was a 4-year lettermen in both track and cross country until he graduated in 2002.
