This year, Ms. Kincade’s third-grade class at Greater Atlanta Christian School was the first to reach 100% participation in GAC’s Annual Fund. To honor their accomplishment, they opted for a special reward: the “GAC Behind the Scenes Tour.”
During their tour, the students visited various locations around the school campus. Their first stop? The heart of culinary creativity – the Elementary kitchen! From mixing to baking, they learned about the process of making Pita Chips and even got to step inside the freezer for a cool experience.
Next, they explored the Spartan Store’s Book Warehouse, gaining insights into the school's mail and delivery systems while enjoying a candy treat from the store.
At the Hoover Field House, Athletic Director, Tim Hardy guided them through the football locker room, the cool and hot tubs, and meeting rooms. The students also had the opportunity to try on football jerseys, experiencing a taste of athletics at GAC.
Their visit to the President’s Office was a highlight, where they listened to stories read by GAC President, Dr. Scott Harsh in the Freeman Boardroom while enjoying hot chocolate with peppermint sticks.
Crossing the street, they toured the GACS 1500 Center warehouse, discovering where school supplies and Campus Services equipment are stored. The day ended with a fun-filled pinata smashing in the warehouse and a ride around the building in golf carts.
The tour provided a unique and educational experience for Ms. Kincade’s class, showcasing the inner workings of their school community and celebrating their efforts in working towards a common goal together as a class.
