Our teachers play a vital role in what makes GAC exceptional. Many of our alumni often tell us that they formed meaningful relationships with their teachers and felt truly known at GAC, an experience that was unique compared to their college peers. God has brought us an exceptional group of new teachers. Learn a little bit about them below:

Tadd Fellers

Tadd Fellers (High School Teacher - Latin) brings extensive experience in theology, Latin, and education, with over a decade in Christian education specifically. He holds a Bachelor's from Northwestern College and a Master's of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. We are thrilled to welcome Tadd to our World Language community, as he excels in creating engaging Latin curricula and integrating the gospel into every lesson. Previously worshiping at Illumine Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Tadd recently relocated to Georgia and is seeking a new church community.

Kiara Harris

Kiara Harris (High School Teacher- English) received a Bachelor’s degree from Savannah State University and a Master’s degree from Georgia Southern University. With experience in both teaching and writing, she brings a unique background for teaching literary interpretation and composition to GAC. Kiara and her husband are parents to two new Spartans this year, Drew and Lauren, both enrolled in Young Learners. Their family worships at The Enon Church in Atlanta. 

Francesca Leonardo

Francesca Leonardo (High School Teacher - Math) holds a Bachelor’s degree from Berry College and a Master’s from Kennesaw State University. She brings both academic excellence and athletic expertise, already known to our Spartan Aquatics community as GAC's dive coach, and leading our divers to the GHSA State Competitions. Francesca's expertise in teaching math and project-based learning will enrich our community. She and her husband have two children, Giovanni and Natalia, in Young Learners, and they worship at The Church of the Apostles.

Sandra Martinez-Trueba

Sandra Martinez-Trueba (High School Teacher - Spanish) brings a strong background in teaching Spanish. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Havana, Cuba, and a Master’s degree from the University of Salamanca, Spain. Sandra desires that her students use the language they learn in her class to connect with others, not only in a social way but in a way that leads them to the Gospel. Sandra and her husband are parents to Lucas (1st grade). They attend Decatur City Church.

Ryan Millhof

Ryan Millhof (Academic Support Teacher and Head Varsity Wrestling Coach) comes to GAC after four seasons of serving as the Head Varsity Wrestling Coach at Collins Hill High School. Ryan embodies the characteristics we want in a head coach at GAC and he has a clear vision for the future of Spartan Wrestling. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, in addition to a variety of collegiate-level wrestling experience. Ryan worships at Bethlehem Church.

Lenise Moodie

Lenise Moodie (High School Teacher - Science) holds a Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and a Master’s degree from Mercer University. She excels at making science come alive for the students in her classroom. Lenise and her husband are the parents of three GAC students: JP (Young Learners), Sebastian (K3), and ZJ (1st Grade). Their family worships at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

Kayla Oglesby

Kayla Oglesby (High School Counselor) holds both a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and a Master's from Clemson University. With a background in developing and implementing counseling programs, she is focused on helping students grow spiritually, emotionally, academically, and socially. Her son, Patrick, will join the GAC community this year as a 4th grader. Kayla and her family are active members of Crosspointe Church. 

Erin Payne

Erin Payne (1st Grade Teacher) is an experienced teacher having taught in both public and private schools during her career. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University. Erin is excited to walk alongside her students as their faith grows. She and her husband are parents to Ellis (2nd grade), Davis (5th grade), Jonas (8th grade), and Arah (10th grade). Their family worships at Smoke Rise Baptist Church.

Laura Picker

Laura Picker (K4 Teacher) holds a Bachelor’s degree from Harding University. She will enrich the GAC community with her strong faith, love for students, and her commitment to service. Laura and her husband are parents to GAC students Ian (8th grade) and Ansley (11th grade). Their family worships at Campus Church where her husband Jeremy is the Students Pastor.

Ashley Richards

Ashley Richards (Academic Support Teacher) joins GAC with many years of experience in learning differences. She holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Georgia and a Master’s from Mercer University. Ashley and her husband are parents to Immy (Pre-1st). Their family worships at North Point Church.

Dr. Amanda Sale

Dr. Amanda Sale (High School College Counselor) has a strong background in college admissions, which drives her passion for building relationships with students and mentoring them in their growth. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Texas Tech University and a doctorate from Arizona State University. Amanda and her husband are parents to Davis (K4). Their family attends St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Joe Sandoe

Joe Sandoe (High School Teacher - Science) is excited to return to GAC to teach science, assist on the football staff, and lead Lower School Athletics. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Dickinson College and a Master's from Lebanon Valley College. Joe and his wife are the parents of Jabin (1st grade), Eliah (K3), and Raela (Young Learners). Their family worshiped at City Church Charlottesville and is searching for a new church home in Georgia. 

Ryan Smith

Ryan Smith (Performance Training Instructor) joins the GAC community with a wealth of knowledge and excitement for the ways that athletics and performance training can develop the whole student. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Olivet Nazarene University and brings collegiate-level strength and conditioning experience to our program. Ryan worshiped at Community Cup Church in Illinois and will be searching for his new church home in Atlanta. 

Ciara Uribe

Ciara Uribe Ciara Uribe (High School Teacher - English) has already impacted many GAC students last year as a Faculty Fellow through her passion for literature and the value of relationships. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University. Ciara and her husband Fernando Uribe (GAC Class of 2016) worship at Passion City Church. |
