Before graduating this past May, Nia Wilson added more accolades to her already historic career at GAC. After finishing in first place in the 100 meter run six times, and four first-place finishes in the 200 meter run this Spring, the Gwinnett Daily Post named Nia Wilson the "Girls Runner of the Year."
Wilson helped lead the Varsity Girls Track and Field team to the AAAAA State Championship, which was the fifth title in seven years (across three different classifications) for the Spartans. Wilson won the 100 meter run, finished second in the 200 meter, ran with the first place 400 meter relay team, and she was a member of the second place 1600 meter relay team. Several of Wilson's times are now GAC school records.
