The GAC community has recently been delighted with outdoor concerts given by students within our Fine Arts community. Students and families alike have enjoyed and appreciated this creative solution while COVID-19 safety precautions are in place. These performances took place over the past week in the new GAC Park under twinkly lights and a gorgeous setting sun. The GAC Band was up first with their outdoor concert, led by GAC Band Director Wally Conrath and his wind and percussion instrumental artists. The GAC Symphonic Band performed both traditional and contemporary works. A week later, the community was  invited to an evening of enlivening choral music on the same green space, featuring GAC’s Treble Choir, Rising Voices, and Concert Choir on the Bastian Stage. Dr. Marcus Miller served as conductor for this beautiful evening performance. With a tradition of outreach, the choral students not only perform on campus, but also around the country. While GAC’s state-of-the-art performing spaces are missed during this time, we love how our Campus Services Team has transformed the GAC Park area into an outdoor concert venue on these special evenings.
