Ever since arriving at GAC in 2019, head coach Rachel Vanderpol has made an impact as a volleyball coach.

The Spartans reached the Final Four in 2019 with a 26-14 record. The following season, injuries set the team back to an 18-15 record, and a berth in the the Sweet Sixteen. Hard work and dedication allowed the Spartans to then rally in 2021 for a 35-8 record and the AAA State Title. 

From the championship team, Gracie Rose, Naya Ohuabunwa and Janie Stinchcomb were placed on the AAA All-State Team, while Kennedy Seymour was on the honorable mention list.

These accolades on the court, along with Coach Vanderpol's dedication to her team off the court, earned her the honor of being named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association 30 under 30 list.
