Reagan May, a rising senior at GAC and a student-athlete, has been named a recipient of the 2026 Northside Hospital “Leadership Award” Scholarship in partnership with Positive Athlete.

May was selected from more than 4,500 nominations representing over 415 public and private high schools across Georgia, earning one of only two statewide Leadership Award scholarships presented for the 2025-26 academic year. Each recipient receives a $1,000 college scholarship in recognition of exceptional leadership demonstrated both on campus and within the community.

The award, presented by Northside Hospital and Positive Athlete Georgia, recognizes student-athletes who exemplify integrity, service, encouragement, and leadership while making a meaningful impact on those around them.

May will be formally recognized at the 2026 Georgia Positive Athlete Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the Georgia State Capitol. The event celebrates student-athletes from across the state and will award a total of $38,000 in scholarships.

Positive Athlete is a Georgia-based national organization focused on promoting positivity in athletics through scholarships, leadership development, and mentorship opportunities. Over the past 12 years, the organization has recognized thousands of student-athletes nationwide and awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships.
