Ten GAC Seniors Make Their College Dreams Come True

Wednesday marked one of the biggest days of their young lives for 10 Greater Atlanta Christian School student-athletes. Years of training and discipline have finally paid off for these seniors who have obtained scholarships to continue on as student-athletes at colleges and universities across the country. This showcase of talent, determination, and commitment is something to be expected at GAC. In just the last three years, GAC has seen over 60 student-athletes commit to playing at the collegiate level.

Athletic Director Tim Hardy had this to say about these students: “We are proud of these student-athletes and their college commitments.  As coaches at GAC, our pledge is to develop our young people physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. It is exciting to see them grow and be able to take the next step in their athletic careers.  While we will miss them on campus, we are excited for what the Lord has in store for each one of them.”

For Kennedy Tolson, it’s been a journey full of stress and hard decisions. “But now it’s all worth it. All the parties, events, hangouts, and other activities I didn’t get to go to—it was all for this moment.” She’s ecstatic about going to play soccer at the University of Maryland. “From the coaching staff to the academics, the school is just so amazing all around. I’m ready to be a part of it.” The university also boasts one of the largest theater programs on the East coast, theater being another one of Kennedy’s passions.

Signing day is an emotional one for Peter Klueber. “I have always dreamed of playing at the next level ever since I picked up a lacrosse stick. I am really excited and fortunate to continue playing the sport that I love at Mercer University. It feels amazing signing surrounded by my friends and family who have helped me reach this point.”
