Three Career Milestones Highlight Strong Start for GAC Girls Lacrosse

The GAC Varsity Girls Lacrosse team has seen several milestone performances early in the season, with two Spartans reaching significant career marks while helping power key victories.

In a dominant 20–2 win over Mount Pisgah on Tuesday, sophomore Claire Voelzke scored her 100th career goal, finishing the night with seven goals and two assists to lead the Spartans. Voelzke also added four draw controls, one caused turnover, and two groundballs, pushing her career goal total to 103.

Earlier in the season, the Spartans celebrated additional milestones during a 13–12 win over River Ridge. Junior Kelsey Dixon scored her 100th career goal in that game, finishing with five goals to bring her career total to 103. She also recorded five draw controls and a caused turnover.

Voelzke reached another milestone in the same contest, securing her 100th career draw control while posting four goals, two assists, eight draw control wins, two caused turnovers, and three groundballs.

Other strong performances in the River Ridge win included Emme Harsh (two goals, three assists, six draw controls), Ella Hedgcock (two goals), Anasofia Trujillo (one goal), and Makenzie Griffin (two caused turnovers). Additional contributions came from Cassie Cooney, Alice Mullally, Lily Gary, and Sydni Hope.

With multiple players hitting major career milestones and contributions across the roster, the Spartans have continued to build momentum early in the season.
