Girls & Boys Varsity Swim Teams Finish Second in the State

Led by head coach Emily Krug, the Varsity Swim and Dive team traveled to Georgia Tech to compete in the GHSA Swimming & Diving State Championship from February 3-5. In total, the Spartans had 17 members of their team qualify for the state meet.

After a year full of dedication and hard work, both the Boys and Girls Varsity Swim Teams finished as the GHSA Class A-AAA State Runner Ups for the 2021-2022 season. The Boys team finished with 216 points while the Girls team finished 276 points.

"We have a lot of talented student-athletes at GAC! Our swimmers and divers have worked so hard this season and it showed this weekend as both the girls and boys finished 2nd in 1-3A! They all did a phenomenal job! I am so proud of them and I love watching them compete and race!"- Coach Krug.
