Steps for Applicants

  • High School (9th - 12th)

    Step 1: Complete admission application. One application per child. Non-refundable $90 application fee. 

    Step 2: Schedule SSAT and Character Skills Snapshot testing via www.ssat.org

    Steps 3 - 5 can be managed through the Parent Portal accessed via the Manage Application link on this page.

    Step 3: Request records from current school using Records Request Form.

    Step 4: Request references from a principal or counselor and two academic teachers at least one of which must be an English or Math teacher. GAC uses digital reference forms which require an email address for each reference.

    Step 5: Schedule a Shadow Day (optional). Only applicants can schedule shadow days.

    Step 6: Completed applications will be reviewed by Admissions and High School Administration. You will be notified if you are selected for a family interview.
  • Middle School (6th - 8th)

    Step 1: Complete admission applicationOne application per child. Non-refundable $90 application fee.

  • Lower School (Pre-1st - 5th)

    Step 1: Complete admission application. One application per child. Non-refundable $90 application fee.

    Steps 2-3 can be managed through the Parent Portal accessed via the Manage Application link on this page.

    Step 2: Request records from current school using Records Request Form.

    Step 3: Request references from a current academic teacher and another school faculty member such as a principal, previous teacher, counselor or special area teacher. GAC uses digital reference forms which require an email address for each reference. 

    Step 4: Attend testing and shadow day. You will be contacted by Admissions staff to schedule either the AABL test (Pre-1st - 1st) or the ISEE test (2nd - 5th).

    Step 5: Completed applications will be reviewed by Admissions and the Lower School Administration. You will be notified if you are selected for a family interview.
  • Early Childhood Village (K4 - K5)

    Step 1: Complete admission application. One application per child, non-refundable $90 application fee. 

    Steps 2-3 can be managed through the Parent Portal accessed via the Manage Application link on this page.

    Step 2: Request records from current school using Records Request form if child has attended preschool. 

    Step 3: Request references from a current teacher if the child is attending preschool. GAC uses digital reference forms which require an email address for each reference.

    Step 4: Attend classroom evaluation (K4) or AABL testing accompanied by classroom observation (K5). You will be contacted by Early Childhood Village staff (K4) or Admissions staff (K5) for scheduling.
     
    Step 5: Completed applications will be reviewed by Admissions and the Lower School Administration. 


  • Young Learners (6 weeks - 3 years)

    Step 1: Contact Young Learners directly on 770-243-2350 to schedule a tour of the facility.

    Step 2: Complete admission application. One application per child, non-refundable $90 application fee. 

    Step 3: Attend a classroom observation (only for K3). You will be contacted by a Young Learners Staff member to schedule this observation.

    Step 4: Receive notification from Director of Young Learners as to admission acceptance. Admission to the Young Learners program is on a rolling basis. To be placed in the wait pool, you must be an applicant.


Applicants will be notified on March 30, 2019, with an admission decision.

**Rolling Admissions: Typical admission season runs from October - April. However, GAC is able to accept qualified applicants year-round for immediate or mid-year transfer provided there are spots available. Call or email the Admissions office if you would like to inquire about an immediate or mid-year transfer May-January.
