Lifeguard Certification

Lifeguard certification now offered on the GAC campus

Lifeguard certification courses are for individuals who have never taken a lifeguard certification class before. If you are already a certified lifeguard and need to renew your certification, we offer recertification classes. Only individuals who have never held a lifeguard position before or who do not currently have a valid lifeguard certification are eligible for this particular class. This training course is open to everyone. All candidates must at least meet the minimum requirements.

Aquatics Program Director & Head Swim Coach

Emily graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Physical Education. She brings a high-level of experience to GAC as she builds the aquatics program. Emily was a four-year member of the Auburn University swim team; she is a 17-time All American and a 2-time Olympic time trial qualifier.

Emily is excited with the prospect of building a stellar aquatics program, "GAC has been blessed with an exceptional swim facility. We will begin working with the P.E. program by offering swim lessons to students as part of their daily class. I am excited to see how the students will improve over the years with this new program. Students will develop not only swimming skills, but will learn how to be safe in the water. Hopefully, this will ignite student interest and will expand our swim teams."
